Saturdays in the South are for tailgates, football and stitching!
This is my favorite time of year. While we still have some hot days ahead, the tide turns in September. The sun has started to move down in the sky and the light is different. The humidity drops, the mornings and the evenings cool.
And party snacks: pigs in a blanket, dips, boiled peanuts, chilis, all the good treats are my favorites too.
As an introvert, a full day of tailgating can be a lot too much for me. Because all day is how we do it. Needlepoint is my refuge from the small talk and strangers.
Once again, needlepoint what would I do without you?
